Hi Everybody !!
This is tanbb's first posting in his music blog !!
He hopes to put lots of fun music stuffs in here for everyone who ventures inside !!
He begins by sharing a very beautiful "puja-song" on the Hindu Deity, Ganesha: part National Education ( knowing our Indian fellow countrymen ); part ethnomusicology ( the study of non-western tradition of music ).
Lovely things to note:
- The instrumentation /accompaniment: the tabla / the small indian cymbals
- The ( complex ) rhythmic patterns
- ( To speculate on ) the socio-historical contexts giving rise to it
- The melodic phrases
Enjoy !!
bb :)
